Workshops

Most people who want to enter never do, because they think they need to know something first. The workshop exists to remove that excuse.

You arrive with nothing. Materials, tools and someone to ask are provided. You leave with a robot that is eligible to compete, built by you, badly. There is no separate ticket for this — it is included when you register your team, alongside food, materials and a t-shirt.

Who it is for

Complete beginners, children with an adult, and anyone who has read the rules and thought "I still would not know where to start". Prior experience is not required and is mildly discouraged.

Bench space is limited

Set by bench space and by how many people one facilitator can help at once. If entries need a cap to keep that workable, entering a robot is where that would show up — nothing about it is decided yet.

When it runs

Saturday, 21 November 2026, 10am–5pm — the day before the main event. Our gurus on the bench are Natashya, Kenneth and Cikgu Nasrul.

Registration itself is open — enter your robot and a session will be confirmed with you closer to the date.
